Has anyone tried any of so called miracle diets for weight loss?
Several of them seem to have positives and negatives. For instance some of the common side effects of the Atkins Diet are listed athttp://www.atkinsdietalert.org/.
A review of the pros and cons of the Sonama Diet are listed at

So has anyone tried any? There are many out there

the only reason for the existence of a diet is so that you can gain back the weight after when you get off the diet so that you can go on another diet, it's a horrible way of marketing and it's made some companies filthy rich.
I'll be frank when I say that diets don't work, lifestyle changes do.
If you want a diet, it has to be a diet for life so you must change the way you eat and how often. Try eating 6 small meals a day, cut out pasta, rice and bread a bit and eat more veggies and meat, preferablly chicken, fish and eggs, beef on occasion as it's also lean but has a high fat and sodium content, same with pork.
Exercise and burn off more calories then you consume but consume enough that you're feeding your body properly, on days that you're doing exercise you can eat a little more and drink tons of water.
Just because there is no miracle diet or food, doesn't mean you can't lose weight because you can. You just have to work at it and stay focused, find something that makes you want to reach your goal, use that as your motivation and get the results you feel you need.
You can honestly cut down the weight without exercise but it definitely speeds up the process and makes you feel much better.
Results aren't instant but when you work towards them you will get them, you just have to invest a bit more of your time productively and I wish you the best of luck to you.
