Every day the average adult needs a certain amount of each of the vitamins.

Because then the food labels would be too big and the labels themselves would extend from one arm to the other arm. The food label list would be too extensive. They are only trying to give you a jist of the common and most important nutrients.
Besides we already know that eggs have B12. They are not also going to point out that this vitamin regenerates the folate in the body & the product would probably be ridiculously expensive because it has all that pointless information.

If you are curious and interested about what vitamins are in all the foods maybe you should contact a nutrionist to give you an overview or take a course in nutrition in college
