Selenium seems to be unnoticed. I never knew there are so many advantages of Selenium, what are the foods which are rich in Selenium??
Here is a chart containing the foods and the amount of Selenium possibly in them.

Selenium has a few effects. The primary is that it is a required nutrient for daily nutrition... if you go without it for long enough, it's bad for you.
As far as what it does when you take it, it's a very good antioxidant so it helps protect practically everything in your whole body. It also has overall benefits for Cardiovascular, Prostate, and Immune system health. Most people that take it (oftentimes in a multivitamin, but many take it separately) have less of a chance of getting sick.

One important thing to note is that it is a mineral, so taking too much of it can build up in your system and cause problems. The common dosage size is typically 200 mcg.
