This  Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007 file photo shows a limestone relief 'Part of a Balustrade Depicting the Aten, Akhenaten, and his Family' at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. A Yale University doctor who analyzed images of Akhenaten for an annual conference at the University of Maryland School of Medicine has concluded that Akhenaten's female form was due to a genetic mutation that caused his body to convert more male hormones to female hormones than needed. (AP Photo/Matt Rourke)AP - Akhenaten wasn't the most manly pharaoh, even though he fathered at least a half-dozen children. In fact, his form was quite feminine, which has puzzled experts for years. And he was a bit of an egghead.
