I am planning my tongue pierced and I was wondering if there any health implications in doing so?

Tongue piercings are awesome. I have mine pierced and I don't know of any health implications for me. Someone died from it but it was because she overbled for weeks and did not see a doctor.

Also, if you want to look at a good site for piercings and body mods. bmezine.com is a great resource for body modification and such. It also tells you the risks and stuff of like every modification possible.

Chill out people. I've had mine in for years problem free. I also have 12-14 personal friends that have it done. Some like to use plastic barbells (if you bite them you brake them, not your teeth) I like the metal ones myself. Just do get it done by a pro pleas. Have fun & happy piercing ;p
