Has anyone ever tried using accupuncture as a means of preventing the cold or the flu? I have heard a great deal of praise stating that if you use accupuncture on a regular basis you will be substantially less likely to get the cold or flu. Do you think there is any truth in this? Or do you think that those that believe in holistic practices are just more inclined to eat healthier and thus have less chance of getting sick because of their diet?
I'm not sure that acupuncture could stop a virus from forming in the system, but then I am no expert. It could be possible in those who are more susceptible to catching colds or flu. I personally, have never ever had the flu and it is about 10 years since I last had a cold. I wouldn't say my diet is all that healthy either. I either have a strong immune system or my daily garlic capsule helps

Acupuncture related to slow the affect of cold?? I am not sure about it and I never heard of it. I can only say it might make a person get relief from stress and strain, which are the affects of cold but reducing cold completely is something I am not sure how it might work. I don't agree with my diet being healthier. Yes, at times it surely is but not always. I have some junk food too, especially home made fast foods are mostly preferred. So, I can't say that it is best treatment for being healthy.
I don't belive that acupuncture could stop a virus in my body
I do know that practicing qi gong and tai ji can help to build up the immune system. Often acupuncture is used more at the latest stages of an ailment but you can eat certain foods to decrease the pleghm levels in the body. Balancing as the Chiense say, the yin and yang in your food intake.
i also don't think acupuncture could stop a virus...
is any successful cases...
haven't tried it though... but if it really works.,
then its good...im gonna try it now..
