I oppose anyone and everyone who says that alcohol cannot be left.

Even I agree that alcohol addiction can be cured. There are many alcohol treatment programs that have helped several people overcome their addiction successfully. It is always good to get professional help.

I managed to stop the use of alcohol on my own accord, it however is not the path I would suggest. It is extremely difficult and requires significantly strong willpower. If had it to do over, I would most definitely choose to pursue some sort of group help. It is nothing to be ashamed of, and is a real problem, be willing to get the help of others who are dealing with the same thing you are.
