Here are some tips on how to treat dandruff:
1) Mix two tablespoons of vinegar with six tablespoons of water. Apply it at night, on the affected area, using a cotton wool. Shampoo your hair the next day, and rinse again with vinegar mixed with water. You will need to repeat this treatment weekly for three months.
2) Add a teaspoon of lemon juice to two teaspoons of vinegar and massage this mixture on to the scalp. Use egg shampoo to wash your hair. Or you can simply use lime juice rubbed onto your scalp and then shampoo your hair as a natural dandruff remedy.
3) Beat two eggs. To this mixture, add two tablespoons of water. Wet your hair before you apply the egg mixture. Massage the mixture well into your scalp. Leave for ten minutes.
4) Soak fenugreek seeds in water. Leave them overnight. In the morning, grind this to a paste. Apply this paste on the scalp and leave for half an hour before you shampoo your hair.
5) Margosa oil / warm coconut oil/ castor oil massaged into the scalp once a week helps to cure a dry and itchy scalp. Massage the oil into the scalp using the tips of your fingers and a gentle circular motion. Shampoo your hair the following day. You can use margosa based shampoo, or soap nuts as shampoo, for better results.
6) Apply a mix of olive oil and almond oil in equal quantities on the scalp. When it begins to burn, approximately after five minutes, wash off with shampoo. Follow this once a week. This is an excellent dandruff remedy that shows results within a few weeks.
7) Take some rosemary leaves and soak overnight in a liter of boiled water. Strain and add two teaspoons of vinegar. Shampoo your hair and then apply this preparation as a natural dandruff remedy.
